“My holiday started out as planned.I rolled into the busy beaver airport parking right on time. Friendly staff greeted me and a shuttle was just getting ready for us to load up. It was like clock work.
We hadn’t seen my mum for two years, due to the corona virus lock down, and were missing her terribly. My kids had aged significantly at their tender ages of 4, 8 and 14! So much had changed. My mum texted me to say she could see that we were getting ready for take off. She tracked us all the way over until we arrived perfectly in time for the shuttle at the other end.
Baggage collection was smooth and no one had cried about an earache, I felt like we were winning!
We greeted each other with laughter hugs and tears so happy to see each other, and first three days were like a whirl wind romance. After this there is only so much a Nanna can bare when a four year old is awake most of the night, having difficulty settling in and simply protesting daily throughout the day.
We were all worn out quite quickly and eager to get him into an environment he was used to. Many other things didn’t quite work such as a break in plans and a sudden expense which cost me an extra $450!
On the last day I felt pretty happy to have seen my mum and enable the kids to catch up, but I knew the next month was going to be a challenging game of catch up to re-stabilise my young’s ones sleep and recuperate lost money.
Finally it was time to board again. The kids were messy, the young one wasn’t cooperative, the pattern for the past five days. It was exhausting. We returned and once again the reliable busy beaver shuttle had a list to check off and gratefully our name was on the first shuttle. I simply wanted to go home. I was sure that our suitcase was the last one from our flight!

“Our trip to the Gold Coast began (like always) with a stop at Busy Beaver Airport Parking. Travelling with a 2 and 3 year old always has its challenges – however the staff at BBAP always make the start of our journey a breeze. Right from when we pulled in to the carpark, their staff were with us, offering to assist with getting bags out of our car, straight into the BBAP van – amazing service, which is what keeps us coming back every time! It was especially helpful this time with my wife being pregnant and unable to assist as much this time.
It was so nice to escape the cooler weather in Melbourne for the sunny skies of Queensland! Beautiful one day – perfect the next! We managed to get away for a two week break, and enjoyed time at the theme parks, shopping, the beaches, our hotel pool, and some really nice family time just resting and relaxing.
We usually hire a rental car, however, due to the demand of car hire over the April holidays, rental was going to cost us over $2000 for the two week period! So we chose to use public transport this time, and can I say that I highly recommend using public transport around the Gold Coast! Buses and trams ran on time, every time. They had a very convenient timetable which got us to Surfers Paradise, Seaworld, Harbour Town Outlets and directly to the airport (please take note Melbourne!!!)
Eventually it was time to return home, and it was nice to only wait around 8 minutes for our shuttle to collect us and return us to our car at BBAP. “I used Busy Beaver bus service enroute to surprise and celebrate my daughter Caitlin’s 30th in Brisbane. The plan was; book into the motel her partner had organised for them (so Caitlin thought) for the night and dine at an exclusive French restaurant in Brisbane city.
It was epic, what a surprise when the lift door opened for us to go up only to be greeted by Caitlin who was coming down to collect flowers that had been sent to reception. I had not seen Caitlin for 14 months and as one would imagine there was screams of delight and so many tears, it was beautiful.” – June, March 2021

“We had our car Parked at Busy Beaver Airport Parking, as we have done for many years while we travelled to India to attend a 3 day wedding, the celebrations were out of this world as always the admin staff, drivers ,were extremely polite and friendly, as we really needed some care and special attention having just learnt of Covid hitting the world news as we we had just returned with an Asian Airline. I must say your staff had shown great empathy whilst taking care to ensure our safety was paramount already wearing masks and taking extreme precautions. We would absolutely recommend them to others. “I travelled from South West Victoria to Tullamarine to fly to Sunshine Coast to see my daughter for the first time when the borders opened just prior to Christmas 2020. I parked at Busy Beaver Airport parking about 2hrs prior to my flight departure. As I boarded the bus the driver shut the door then asked if I minded waiting as he could see a distressed traveller pulling up in her car looking panicked.
I didn’t mind waiting at all- the kind driver helped the young lady aboard- he asked who she was flying with and said he would do his best to get her there on time. The girl was in tears the entire trip to the airport- she hadn’t seen her parents in over a year, she was flying to Cairns.
The driver got us there very quickly & safely, parking as closely to where she had to go. I told her to run to the check in and I would run behind with her bags. She got there with seconds to spare.
The driver was kind, showed compassion and empathy for her situation.
I wouldn’t use any other airport parking. I can’t remember the exact date but it was the week of Christmas 2020.” – Michelle, December 2020

My partner, Pete, lives in Canberra and we’ve been successfully managing a long distance relationship for the last 5 years and Busy Beaver has played a large role in our relationship as I park there whenever I fly from MEL – CBR. When Melbourne’s big lockdown happened last year we obviously couldn’t see each other. Needless to say, the moment the borders opened, we booked the first flight out from Mel to Canberra in November. I arrived at Busy Beaver and was one of only 3 cars in the carpark, I think the smiles on the staff were as big as mine to be travelling again. It was confronting to see how empty the airport and surrounds were, but was amazing to see Pete again and we were even interviewed by ABC on my arrival into Canberra.. “Its been 146 days ..not that we’ve counted” was our caption! I think the smiles and teary eyes say it all. It’s so great to be able to travel again, and long may it continue. Growing up in a Developing country I was not used to long-term car parking, Busy Beaver was the first time I have ever used a Long term parking. Living in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs grabbing a taxi to the airport was more expensive than the flights, also considering the distance not really a fun ride for friends/family to drop you and pick you. I was among my friends to use long term parking back in 2013 (I think) and since then I have been using busy beaver for their friendly staff member and quick shuttle service to & from the Airport. Despite a 4 am flight or a busy rush hour flight I have not experienced any issues and more over the price is very competitive with the other services around. Good Job Busy Beaver! – Ahsan, April 2013
